My personal favorite, this song represents, to me, what the full spectrum of emotions actually sounds like. When hope gets slammed by frustration and dating turns stagnant, sometimes you have to look within, remember your worth and know to walk away when a situation is not serving you.
Tell me started off as an experimental song recalling the experience of recovering from an unhealthy relationship. While the lessons are real, the story line isn't -- it mimics the common 90's r&b narrative of a partner leaving the relationship - Cristine's way of paying respect to the era of music that's inspired her so much.
Swipe Right offers a glimpse into the world of dating apps through the eyes of someone newly single or freshly divorced. While playful on the surface, the track explores the rush of infatuation—that fleeting spark of possibility—just before reality sets in. It’s a sonic daydream that captures the highs and heartbreaks of modern love, where first impressions are everything… until they’re not.
Start Over Again speaks on the one dimensional vision people can fall victim to when following societal norms over what your heart wants. It's about reclaiming the power to define what success, fulfillment, and happiness look like for you, instead of letting external definitions shape those concepts for you.
I'll Be The Fool is a reminder of the compelling power of sustaining love and the echoing sentiments it leaves behind after the ashes settle.
Show Me The Way was inspired by a prayer. A moment of seeking clarity from a higher power in the face of difficult choices—one that resonates with a lot of people who find themselves caught between loyalty, faith, and their own purpose.
My favorite 2nd to Only You. Respect reminds us that any relationship worth building...worth having requires that two people have a mutual respect for one another. In so many ways, life teaches us this concept and the importance of truly “Respecting” ourselves, which comes in many forms - exercising self-love, communicating our standards, showing others how we would like to be treated and beyond.
